Thanks! Knowing that, I’d say that the wig is nice and the shirt looks decent, but as for the pants, tofunaga needs to either choose a better pair of pants to use as a base or make them from scratch because a) the pants aren’t really blue jeans and b) the pattern is really really different. The temptation to save a few bucks by ‘closet cosplaying’ is strong but if you just go the extra mile and really put some craftsmanship into your pieces even if you’re just modifying an existing piece of clothing, the quality in your work will really start to show :)
Good luck, tofunaga!
I’m 24 right now, and I just started to cosplay. I’ve been a fan of anime from a really long time, but it took me only now to have the guts to cosplay, since I’m very much familiar with bad cosplays and I’ve been conscious of my body (my family treats me like I’m obese even if I’m normal). So anyway, here’s my first cosplay, and I really think it’s good.

(Editor’s Note: Bravo! You shouldn’t let your self-consciousness about your body image keep you from dressing up! Your costume looks decent enough, but I’m afraid I can’t give a good critique of it until I know who your character is. Can anyone ID this one for us?)

This is a picture of myself in my Pirate!England cosplay from Axis Powers Hetalia. And although I’m very proud of this picture (besides the fact that my little sister and friend photo bombed it trying to purposefully mess me up…) I’ve been wanting some feedback on it… Is this cosplay a success story?
(Editor’s Note: It looks pretty good so far, but I just wish we had a better picture! We can’t even see your face :( Got any others?)
It’s still really new and we would LOVE to get submissions from you! Other super-poseable figures such as Figmas are also acceptable :)
